Ned’s Garage is a garage gym built out of necessity during the Covid-19 pandemic. As the two weeks to stop the spread turned into months of lockdowns, access to a gym became difficult. I built Ned’s Garage over months of patiently waiting and purchasing equipment when it became available and prices were reasonable. I purchased a barbell and plates from quality suppliers. While waiting for equipment to be shipped, I built a pullup bar, lifting platform and weight racks following tutorials on various websites. Additional items were added such as slam balls, plyo boxes, and a flat bench as we needed them.
I could have kept it to myself but instead I asked a close friend if he would like to join me. This led our wives to begin training. Shortly there after my son began to train as well. Others soon asked to join. During this time of fear and isolation we had a fellowship – The Fellowship of the Iron.
